Happy Owl Apps creates beautifully designed and illustrated premium apps for children of all ages.  Founded by the creators of Nick Jr.'s Parent's Choice award-winning hit show, "Gullah Gullah Island" and Joey Ahlbum, the animator and illustrator of "Elmo's World" and Emmy-award winning director for "Clifford's Puppy Days," we are dedicated to combining learning, entertainment and a unique graphic style into an irresistible package.



JOEY AHLBUM is an animator and illustrator extraordinaire.  His beautiful work can be seen on projects for Nickelodeon, Pizza Hut, Cartoon Network, MTV, Frederator and PBS.  He was Supervising Director on the Emmy award winning "Clifford's Puppy Days" and is currently working on his ninth season of "Elmo's World" where he has completed over 50 episodes.   He lives in New York with his lovely wife and daughter where he enjoys trips to the beach, eating Korean food and riding his bike to work.


MARC CATAPANO is a writer and producer who has worked for MTV and was VP Content for Steven Van Zandt's Underground Garage. Marc also wrote a children's book "Sports, It's All in the Family" which sold over 30,000 copies. He is a native Brooklynite and likes reading about science, listening to garage punk and playing basketball.


PAULINE MASON is a writer and producer for television, documentaries and broadband. Her first job as a producer was on Nickelodeon's "Gullah Gullah Island" and since then she has never looked back, producing hundreds of hours of television, from wedding and fashion shows to "The Chris Rock Show".  She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and loves animals, eating spicy food and being in nature.


KATHY MINTON is a writer and executive producer for television. She started her career in animation and then went on to create and executive produce Nickelodeon's Emmy nominated preschool show "Gullah Gullah Island". She has created, written and produced many hours of television and was Vice President of Oxygen Media and Development Executive at the broadband channel Next New Networks. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband Marc and their teen son and loves anything made with potatoes, children's literature, especially anything by CS Lewis, and long walks in Brooklyn.


RUSTY THE SQUIRREL is a friendly fellow who loves his family, friends and his treehouse. If you asked him about his world he'd say "I'm the luckiest squirrel alive. I get to live amongst the trees with all the animals and nature I love, I can eat all the acorns I want and best of all, I can play games and sing songs with young kids all over the world, and teach them all about the wonderful world of squirrels!"
